New App Feature: Post Directly to GHIN

Available for golfers with valid GHIN Handicap Membership (USGA)

Taking advantage of our digital scorecard to keep your score? Well now you can take it a step further and POST that score directly to GHIN. All you need is a valid GHIN Handicap Membership (USGA) and you’ll be able to:

  • Login with your GHIN credentials to Post a score directly from the scorecard feature when you have completed a round in the app.
  • This will post the Hole-by-Hole scores to your GHIN account, which is something GHIN and the USGA are emphasizing (this is assuming you’ve recorded hole-by-hole scores in the app).
  • You can view a history of recently posted scores via the app.
  • You can also see what their current Handicap Index is, which can change daily based on posted scores.
  • After your initial login to post a score, the app will persist access making future posting even easier!

Meet Phil Bowers

Regional Director Of Instruction

Phil is known for his ability to both teach and play golf at a high level. Phil worked for GOLFTEC, the largest golf instruction company in the US, for over a decade. Prior to that he spent nearly 8 years working for Mount Vernon Country Club where he led the junior golf program and provided individual instruction to members of all skill levels. He has been a member of the PGA since 2003 and holds several awards and certifications for club fitting.

As a player, Phil is a former Division I standout who played for Radford University before turning pro. As a professional, Phil has competed on mini tours across the country and has played in multiple major Tour events along with competing in several PGA Professional National Championships. He was listed as the #23 player of the decade (2010-2019) for the MAPGA. Phil is also a former finalist for the MAPGA Teacher of the Year and Bill Strausbaugh awards.

The junior programs will be led by Phil Bowers, PGA. Phil led the junior golf program at Mt Vernon CC during his tenure there and is a former chair of the MAPGA Junior Golf Committee. Phil spent the previous 10 years teaching for GOLFTEC, the largest golf instruction company in the country. Phil looks forward to bringing his expertise to the junior golfers at Prince William GC.

Phil is excited to join the Prince William family and bring his unique teaching style along with his enthusiasm for growing the game. Phil is looking forward to leading the teaching programs at Prince William and creating a positive learning environment for golfers of all ages and skill levels.

Meet JC Joo

Assitant Golf Professional

JC Joo is a member of United States Golf Teachers’ Federation and has been in the golf industry for over 15 years as a Golf Professional, Club Repair Tech, Golf Retail Sales and Club Fitting Specialist. Master Certification by industry-leading Mitchell School of Golf and worked as the Lead Repair Technician & Club Fitting Specialist for Golf Galaxy and Dick’s Sporting Goods. JC teaches Private and Group lessons as well as PGA Jr League, Jr lessons, and Clinics.

Authorized MIZUNO USA Club Fitter as well as Demo Day Event representative. JC has conducted over 30 Demo Days in Mid- Atlantic region.

JC has been playing golf for over 30 years and has been following the current technology trend in Golf Swing analysis. Recently certified by Trackman University, Launch Monitor Level One & Two. Also, Certified by Callaway University ( 2025 ), Ping, TaylorMade, Srixon, and Cleveland.

JC has joined Prince William Golf Course as an Assistant Golf Pro and will focus on providing tech services to all patrons. Services will include Golf Club Repair, Launch Monitor Review, Video Swing Analysis, Club Fitting, and Club Gapping.
