Well, we were just on the verge of getting the course open for all of you and then we got blasted again. We’ve been getting a lot of calls asking when we’ll be able get you out there. With the temperatures rising and some rain in the forecast, I’m very hopeful that the course will open either Wednesday or Thursday of this week. However, I think we are going to be dealing with some extremely saturated conditions for a while. As much as anybody, I look forward to getting the carts off the paths, but I think it will be a while. In the mean time I ask you to please keep all 4 wheels on the paths whenever possible. I know you have to pass each other, but if you could pick strategic locations in order to limit damage along path edges, I would really appreciate it. This will pay you all dividends as well! In the spring we will have to dedicate man power to repairing areas damaged and rutted along the paths, and this means less time spent preparing and improving the course for you, the players. My team and I take a tremendous pride in giving you the best course conditions possible and we would like to dedicate as much time possible toward that end. So, if you could just slowly creep through those low puddled areas on the cart paths, as opposed to driving around on the wet turf, everybody will benefit. I know it is rough going on the paths, but soon enough you’ll be back out, driving right to your balls.
We are all looking forward to a great 2015 season, so just hang in there a little bit longer and we’ll see you on the Prince William Links.
As always, I value your feedback, so come down to our maintenance facility, say hi and tell me what you think we are doing right and what we can do better.
